In der Jerusalem Post macht sich SHMULEY BOTEACH Gedanken um den Verfall der amerikanischen Jugend und speziell die Gebärziffern des weißen Bevölkerungsanteils:

In the US, the birthrate of the more affluent white population is 1.83 babies per family, well below both the replacement rate of at least 2.1, while black and Hispanic birth rates are 2.2 and 3.0 respectively. What this means that within a few generations America’s white majority will diminish and disappear.<<

Ungeachtet des offenkundigen Irrsinns der Aufteilung der amerikanischen Bevölkerung in diese Kategorien und der Frage, wem das etwas bringen soll, habe ich mir den Spaß gemacht nachzurechnen, wann es denn soweit ist, dass die Weißen in den USA zur Minderheit werden:

In etwa 170 Jahren, gesetzt dass Migration und unterschiedliche Sterberaten keine nennenswerte Rolle spielen. Ich weiß, dass alles ist kompletter Unfug, besonders wenn man bedenkt, wie die Bevölkerung der USA vor 170 Jahren zusammengesetzt war.

Gleichzeitig weiß der Autor:

>> Whiteness is inconsequential and meaningless. But as an indicator of how prosperity in America has led us to value big cars over cute infants and plasma TV screens over baby pictures, our own soullessness is exposed.<< ()

Warum er angesichts der meaninglessness von „whiteness“ nicht die Geburtenrate wohlhabender mit der von armen Amerikanern verglichen hat, bleibt des Autors Geheimnis. Ich kann jedenfalls kein Problem erkennen, das man nicht durch konsequente Reichtumsumverteilung lösen könnte, auf dass die „weiße Bevölkerung“ der USA nicht in 170 Jahren zur Minderheit werde, sollte sich bis dahin nicht noch irgend etwas anderes demografisch Bemerkenswertes ereignen.

Hamas will not take its international ostracization seriously if the Palestinians pay no serious diplomatic price and financial aid continues to pour in…<<
